About Us

Welcome to DragonflyHillDaylilies.com By Hadley, we hope you are enjoying your visit. We get a great deal of joy out of watching our gardens bloom. Every new bloom is a gift. We started with Christian, the orange daylily that grows wild along the roadside here and it started a craze. Our plants are hardy field grown divisions. Prices are for double fans unless stated otherwise. We dig and ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays by priority mail until October 1st or as long as weather permits.

Wow! What a year we had in 2016. Thanks to each and everyone that made it such a great success. Meeting so many kind and interesting people that share our love for daylilies, makes it worth every long day we spend in the gardens. We strive to keep the beds (almost) weed free and the daylilies well fertilized and cared for. We have tried to create a garden that everyone will enjoy strolling through. We have added two new small beds in the front, with a new “bed and breakfast” for the birds! There is a new “Spider” bed on Arachne Avenue and a few new bunnies in the briar patch.

A special thanks goes to Nicholson, who worked on the care of daylilies!!!

We are still young and growing, but we guarantee our plants to be healthy and true to name. We are inspected by the Dallas Dept. of Agriculture. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, please return the plants with the original labels and we will gladly send you a full refund or credit.

We are glad to receive visitors at any time of year. Please call in advance to be sure we can greet you. Most major restaurant and motel chains are located within 10 miles of us. We can provide a listing. Usually there are daylilies in flower from March through October. The greenhouse is in peak bloom in late April and May. Outside we have daylilies blooming from early May into September. Our peak display of named cultivars and new seedlings in the ground is from mid-June to Mid-July. Most daylilies look good all day long. During the hottest weather, mornings are best for viewing daylilies. Bottled water and sometimes other refreshments are available to our visitors. Our large barn has places to sit in the shade. Plants can be dug to order at the nursery. Also, many cultivars are available for purchase in pots.
